It’s going to be a great day at OWG! The weekend weather is supposed to be picture-perfect here in NY! Believe it or not, the time is running out for holiday sessions. Call today to make sure you get them done soon so we can order your cards and gift prints, and make sure grandma or grandpa has an updated portrait of the those grand-kids or grand-dogs, or both!

Holiday Mini Session information below. Any questions, call me!

Holiday Mini Sessions are for up to 3 immediate family members. An additional family member is $25. Yes, pets are family members! Please note that for Sunday, October 23rd, the Holiday Mini sessions at Old Westbury Gardens – dogs are included!

All sessions are 20 minutes and will include 10-12 proofs for viewing in a private online gallery for 4 days.

Please note: If you have more than 4 family members you will need to book two consecutive time slots. Charge for additional 20 minutes of time (only) is $100 and is due at the time of booking along with $100 session deposit.

Session availability is limited. The last session date for minis is Saturday, November 12th. Sessions booked for after that date are regular sessions, and holiday collections do not apply. To ensure a timely delivery, this year’s deadline for holiday orders is December 5th.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your mini session. Balance of payment for selected collection is due at the time of the session. All orders must be placed and additional items paid for within one week of gallery activation.

All collections include a Holiday Wishes slideshow of your gallery images to send to friends and family.

No substitutions please. All collection items must be ordered at one time or will be forfeited. There will be no exceptions. Thanks for your cooperation!

One of my favorite things is to see the reaction on my client’s face when she (or he) gets to see their session album for the first time. I have to admit that my grip tightens a little when they try to take it away from me though. And, if my FedEx guy thought I was a little loopy for nearly tackling him when he brings a framed wall portrait, he’s probably considering a restraining order after delivering an album! I guess he’s not the hugging type. :)

This sweet little girl will have this album to treasure forever. What a wonderful gift from her parents! Of course her mama isn’t handing it over anytime soon, and who could blame her? I know my kids will have to pry theirs out of my cold, dead hands. They know it too!

I adore this child. I’ve photographed her and her older sister before, and I am amazed at how much they both have grown and matured. This was a beautiful day of celebration and she was so excited and happy. And patient! I photographed her with a number of her adoring fans (her relatives), and she was a real champ. Of course her most adoring fans, her parents, were so proud and happy too. Thank you for allowing me the great honor of capturing this special occasion for all of you!

As luck would have it, and to mom’s dismay, big sister lost her two front teeth shortly before our session. Secretly I was thrilled that the session coincided with this sweet little milestone, but hey, that’s just me. :) Of course she is beautiful with or without her front teeth and she was very happy to have had a recent visit from the tooth fairy! As for big brother, well he has developed quite the sense of humor in the past year. Although a great deal of it had to do with the idea of food being placed in your clothes, he sure had me laughing. As for the baby, well those beautiful blue eyes of his are going to get him out of a lot of trouble, if and when necessary. The whole family is patient and kind, and mom and dad have a relaxed presence and a lasting sense of humor as well. Love that about them!

Of course, we all knew going in that the chance of the little guy staying in one spot for more than a mere second was highly unlikely. Let’s just say, mission accomplished. Family and kid sessions may not be easy, but they’re always an adventure, and definitely always worth the effort!

This little baby girl is a first for this sweet family, making her mama and her daddy, “new” too!

Just love all the folds and rolls, and something else that amazed me during the shoot. This tiny little one put her index finger into her mouth and was sucking on it for a long time! She did it herself! I wish you could hear the sound. She was making a meal out of her tiny finger! I was holding her at the time and was in awe. So much so that I didn’t even think of handing her off to her mama and grabbing my camera! Her mama was not surprised by this talent though; apparently, she did the same thing when she was a newborn! Who knew something like that could run in the family??? :)

I hope all of the mamas out there, new and seasoned, enjoyed a wonderful first Mother’s Day! Before you know it, we’ll be celebrating all the daddies!
