a yummy newborn!

This little guy was 12 days old when these were taken and that helped make it possible to get those sleepy newborn poses. Isn’t he so cute? Don’t you just want to squeeze him? I have to confess, I thought about it a few times during the session! :) Of course it doesn’t hurt that his parents are also two, very good looking people! You may remember them from their maternity session images.

I always feel so honored to be there for the “before” and “after”. Aside from getting beautiful images at a wonderful time in your life, the maternity session gives us (my clients and I) a chance to get to know each other better. I think that’s important for when I come to photograph your newborn. We spend time together, getting to know one another, usually share a few laughs, sometimes tears (mostly mine), and that shows in the newborn session images, particularly those with the mama and daddie.

If you’re expecting and are interested in booking a maternity and/or a newborn session, please click on the link at the top of the page to contact me, or call me at 516.280.3471 for details. I prefer to book maternity sessions for approximately 32-34 weeks, earlier for multiples, and newborn sessions are best when done within the first two weeks. I always try and leave room in my schedule for newborns, but with the holiday season almost upon us, the dates available for fall are becoming very scarce.

Right now I’m also looking to explore the possibility of offering birth photography. Documenting, in the style of a photojournalist, the time leading up to, during and immediately following the birth of your baby. Isn’t that exciting?  If you’re interested or know someone that is, please contact me.

Lastly, as a special incentive, for the first three newborn sessions booked that mention this blog post, I will include a wallet album (valued at $50) with your print order. That makes *now* a great time to book your session!

There are so many sweet images from this session that it was hard for me to narrow it down and decide which ones to post!  Hope you enjoy them!

This is one of my favorites! Look at all that gorgeous hair!

Love those cheeks!

Sleeping like a baby!

Great lips too!  I also love the contrast between the wire basket and the soft blanket

His nursery is a similar green and I thought this picture would look beautiful in that room!

A new little miracle!

Look at those baby blues!  And, I just love the way the blanket brings out the green in mama’s eyes!

How sweet to see the obvious emotional connection between daddie and his brand new baby!
